Working with a start-up spinal device company for the first time, MedTorque’s small-run capabilities were key to gaining this project requiring machining for a medical saw.
After an initial small run, MedTorque’s engineering team couldn’t help but be curious about the design of this particular saw. After all, they have probably personally worked on thousands of similar instruments and something was simply not perfect with this particular design. So the team began to work side-by-side with the customer’s engineers and this hands-on approach led to a design updates and a very happy customer.
Thanks to MedTorque’s revision, our client saved thousands on a second order with double the quantity of the first one of those sought-after win-wins for both organizations.
A loyal client was working on a prototype for a new instrument and, as usual in this business, was on a very tight deadline. We encouraged the lead engineer on the project to come into our shop throughout the pre-production process, opening our doors to him to speed the process.
